Gary's Prayers - since being diagnosed with Alzheimer's in '07

August 2009

"Thank you for raising Jesus from the dead on our behalf.  Let us glorify You in the line of duty, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in our lives."

(After listening to a Dr. Jack MacArthur sermon on Revelation 20)

"Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years." Revelation 20:6

  1. Yes, my husband, who has Alzheimer's also, prays eloquent, heartfelt prayers as we lay our head on the pillow at night.

    Blessings,
    Carol

  2. What a joy to hear from you Carol. We can rejoice that even though our husbands may someday forget about God, God will never forget about them. It reminds me of Jesus' prayer for us: "Oh righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and THESE have known that You sent Me; and I have made Your name known to THEM, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in THEM, and I in THEM." John 17:25-26
