Recently, my friend Glenna, helped me by scanning hundreds of our 35mm color slides to make digital copies. This project resulted in some very special photos from both sides of our family, going back to the mid 60's. The most Price Family photos by far were devoted to waterskiing and boat building. The Price family built their own jet ski boat, one of a couple built with a friend who was hoping to manufacture them. Later Gary's dad gave us the boat, and oh the fun we had with it. I'm including just a few of these boat building photos. If you get bored...just scroll down to the very last one! It's my favorite of the entire box of slides!

Wonderful pictures. I can scan pictures, but how do you scan slides? Do you have to make pictures of the slides first?

DeleteYou don't make prints first, just load the slides in and click. It's tedious but so fun to have the photos more accessible. I kept wanting to show Gary a photo when mentioning friends, or an event from the past, but so many of ours were slides so not so convenient. This has afforded me the opportunity to make some memory books, and other things so I can help him remember. You can also have Costco, and other places do it for you, but we had so many that it was more cost effective to buy the scanner.

DeleteWow, I sure see Sarah's face in that second pic from the top... thanks for sharing these fun photos. My sister and I transferred old family slides to digital last year for my dad's 70th birthday. We made a fun video slideshow for him, and it was so fun to watch it.
